Postdocs

Cen Wang is a postdoc working on the SimOpt library and ways to integrate AI tools into the development of simulation-optimization solvers.

Ph.D. Students

Jinbo Zhao is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and System Engineering and works as a Senior Data Scientist at C3 AI. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Sichuan University. His research interests are in simulation and optimization. Jinbo recharges himself by cooking, writing and hiking.

Mohammadmahdi Ghasemloo is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and System Engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran before coming to Texas A&M University for his Ph.D. studies. He enjoys doing research at the intersection of machine learning and simulation. According to him, one of the advantages of industrial engineering compared to other majors is that it involves combining knowledge from different fields to solve problems. He loves playing soccer in his free time.

Lucky Li is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Data Science from the University of California – Berkeley.

Master’s Students

Javier Gatica is a Mathematical Engineering student from UC Chile, specializing in numerical analysis and optimization. His research interests are scientific computing and the analysis of optimization methods applied to different fields. He has research experience in control and finite element methods for partial differential equations. Javier spends his spare time playing instruments like violin and guitar.

Undergraduate Students

Raahim Hashmi is a Computer Science student at Habib University in Pakistan working on research in multi-armed bandits.

Dylan Bago is an Industrial Engineering student at Texas A&M University doing research on uncertainty quantification for multi-objective simulation optimization.
