Ph.D. Students

Jinbo Zhao is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and System Engineering and recently received the 2022-2023 Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Doctoral Fellowship. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Sichuan University. His research interests are in simulation and optimization. Jinbo recharges himself by cooking, writing and hiking.

Undergraduate Students

Javier Gatica is a Mathematical Engineering student from UC Chile, specializing in numerical analysis and optimization. His research interests are scientific computing and the analysis of optimization methods applied to different fields. He has research experience in control and finite element methods for partial differential equations. Javier spends his spare time playing instruments like violin and guitar.

 

Kaiwen Wang is an industrial engineering undergraduate student from Texas A&M University. His research interests are stochastic modeling and causal inference methods. He enjoys his spare time with music, chess and soccer.

 

Nolan Berry is a recent graduate of the Industrial and Systems Engineering department at Texas A&M University. During his sophomore year, he went on a medical mission trip to Peru and realized he had a passion for medicine and helping others. While studying at A&M he looked for ways to incorporate both his passions for industrial engineering and healthcare into his projects and research. He plans to attend medical school in the near future and become a surgeon.
